- Primary suggestion is Google Docs and e-mail for those participating in discussions and writing.
- What topics will we be covering? Proposed approach:
- To be determined (service positions, service entities, service needs, service experience that has worked effectively, anecdotes and illustrations)
- Who will participate at what level? Proposed approach:
- Open Discussion Topic (using AA Sharing Format-2 min. timed shares):
We would like to remind all those attending the Service Manual Committee meeting that we have decided to use the AA “Sharing Session” approach for all discussions. For each topic, a member may speak for up to two minutes. No one will speak more than once per topic until all members have shared (or passed) at least once. Please be respectful of this approach. The purpose is to allow all voices to be heard to see if we have substantial unanimity on a topic. Our open sharing sessions are not necessarily attempting to reach substantial unanimity at this time.
- Those in attendance are invited to respond to each topic, within the time limit of a 2-minute timed share. Please chose the topic(s) most important to you.
- If everyone has had an opportunity to speak once, we will go around the room again.
- Close with the “I am responsible…” prayer and the “WE” version of the Serenity Prayer
“I am responsible…when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help. I want the hand of GSA always to be there. And for that; I am responsible.”
