Phone Bridge Meeting Service Positions

GSA Phone Bridge Service Position	Suggested Length of Back-to-Back Greysheet Abstinence	Suggested Length of Service Commitment	Description of Duties
GSA Phone Bridge Meeting Chair/Leader	At Least 3 Months	3 Months	Leads meeting according to the format adopted by each group (format available on the website) In the absence of a GSR, leads the Group Conscience meeting (format available on the website) In the absence of a GSR, reads Intergroup Announcements during Group Conscience meeting (IG announcements available on website)
Meeting Treasurer	9 months	Minimum 6 months	Collects and maintains 7th Tradition donations Maintains Treasurer’s Report, listing donations and expenses Provides Treasurer’s Report at Group Conscience Meeting Follows Group Conscience decisions in dispensing of funds
Meeting Booker	3 months	3 months	Asks speakers with 90 days or more of back-to-back GreySheet abstinence to qualify (speak) Calls or emails a reminder to the scheduled Qualifier a day or two in advance Tells the Secretary/Leader who the Qualifier will be, so the Secretary is prepared
Meeting Moderator	6 months	One year Ability to moderate one or more weekly time slots	Moderates agreed upon meeting(s) effectively and efficiently Aids meeting leaders in keeping the meeting(s) quiet Attempts to arrange back-up when unable to serve Contacts the Moderator Liaison when there are technical difficulties with the bridge Remains quiet while moderating, avoids controversy, and practices principles before personalities
General Service Representative (GSR)	1 year	1 year Term of office begins in the month following the WSC (this is to comply with the motion approved at the 2014 WSC)	Represents their group at Intergroup meetings Conducts Group Conscience business meetings as needed, typically once a month Ensures our primary purpose is carried out when facilitating a Group Conscience Conducts Group Conscience meetings according to Robert’s Rules of Order Robert's Rules of Order Website Represents only one group Attends WSC as a voting delegate Subscribes to Service Matters on the Greysheet.org website, reads each issue and conveys the information to their group to inform them what is happening in GSA World Service Joins one or two WSC committees and supports the work of that committee, usually on a monthly basis between conferences. Committees include: Literature, Structure, Communications, Archives, and so on.

GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Chairperson	3 Years	2 Years	The Chairperson is not a GSR Abides by the specific guidelines for the GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Chairperson approved by the GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Presides over open GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Meeting according to the established agenda using the adapted Roberts’ Rules of Order adopted by the GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Robert's Rules of Order Website Attends GSA PB Board of Trustee meetings May serve as the Delegate for the GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup for the GSA World Service Conference May also serve as ISR (Intergroup Service Representative)
GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Chairperson (Alternate)	3 Years	2 Years	Handles the responsibilities of the Chairperson described above in their absence
GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Secretary	2 years	2 Years	Attends open GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup meetings and takes the minutes Provides minutes to be maintained in the archive on the PB website Attends GSA PB Board of Trustees meetings
GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Secretary Alternate	2 Years	2 Years	Handles the responsibilities of the Intergroup Secretary described above in their absence
GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Receiving Treasurer	2 Years (Financially Solvent)	2 Years	Receives donations Copies checks and deposits money in the bank account Acknowledges each donation with a call, postcard, or e-mail Double-checks monthly donation reports against the records Attends open GSA PB Intergroup meetings Attends GSA PB Board of Trustees meetings
GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Reporting Treasurer	2 Years (Financially Solvent)	2 Years	Balances monthly account statements Prepares detailed monthly report that includes record of all transactions Prepares brief monthly report (opening balance, donations, expenses, closing balance) for IG meeting Files Federal and State tax forms by due date (April 15th) Prepares brief Budget and Actual Yearly report Posts monthly reports on the website Attends open GSA PB Intergroup meetings Attends GSA PB Board of Trustees meetings
GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Moderator Liaison	3 Years	2 Years	Ensures there are Moderators for all Phone Bridge meetings, including Marathons Supports Moderators who are new to the position and provides feedback or help when necessary Handles all communication between the Phone Bridge Intergroup/Groups and the conference call company Responsible for any required changes or additions to Phone Bridge access information (phone number, Moderator PIN number, meeting PIN number)
GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Moderator Liaison (Alternate)	3 Years	2 Years	Position is held by a member of the GSA Phone Bridge Board of Trustees Handles duties described above when Liaison is unable
GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Marathon Liaisons (2)	2 Years	2 Years	There are two Marathon Liaisons: one for AM meetings, one for PM meetings Fills the service positions for Marathon Coordinators for their time slot for upcoming Marathons Supports Marathon Coordinators who are new to the position and provides feedback or help when necessary Attends open GSA PB Intergroup Meetings Attends open GSA PB Board of Trustees meetings Works with Intergroup Moderator Liaison to make sure all Marathon meetings have Moderators
GSA Phone Bridge Marathon Coordinators (2)	1 Year	1 Marathon Per Year (or as needed)	There are two Marathon Coordinators: one for AM meetings, one for PM meetings Not a GSA PB Board of the Trustees position Requests volunteers for leaders/speakers and backup leader/speakers for each of the Marathon meetings in their time slot (AM or PM)
Intergroup Service Representative (ISR)	3 Years	2 years Term of office begins in the month following the World Service Conference (this it to comply with the motion approved at the 2014 WSC)	Represents the Intergroup at the World Service Conference as a voting delegate An ISR represents only one Intergroup Chairs Intergroup Meetings Solicits input from GSR members of the IG on issues to be addressed at World Service Conference Receives information from the Board of Trustees of GSA World Service and shares that information with their Intergroup
GSA Phone Bridge Intergroup Website Liaison	2 Years	2 years	Responds to requests that come through the website to approve new meetings, information about sponsors, and other miscellaneous questions Sends meeting agendas, meeting minutes, announcements, etc.to webmaster for posting Is the signee of the automatic reply that goes out from the website to those who request phone bridge phone number and PIN Attends open GSA Phone Bridge IG meetings
