8. Open Discussion Topic:
At GSA Open Phone Bridge Intergroup meetings we use the AA “Sharing Session” approach for all topics of discussion. For each topic, each member may speak for up to two minutes. No one speaks more than once per topic until all members have shared. Participants will be called on in the order in which they identified themselves. In this manner, all voices and opinions are heard equally. The purpose of our open sharing sessions is for all to be heard, not necessarily attempting to reach substantial unanimity or a decision at this time.
- Close with the “I am responsible…” pledge and the “WE” version of the Serenity Prayer
“I am responsible…when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help. I want the hand of GSA always to be there. And for that – I am responsible”
